The 2024 Budget for the Township of Brock was approved by Council on Monday March 4, 2024.
Brock Township’s annual budget levy increase will be 3.97%. The 3.97% is the annual increase to Brock’s total municipal budget, NOT to a homeowner’s property tax bill.

Whitby, Ontario – Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are becoming more commonplace throughout Durham Region. Today’s announcement of $2.4 million in federal funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) will enable the installation of 259 new EV charging stations across Durham Region. The funding, valued at $605,000 for Round 3 and $1.8 million for Round 4 of the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), provides up to 50 per cent funding for EV chargers. Brock Township Fire Department received $20,000 from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada to purchase six new defibrillators.

Seasonal Weight Restrictions

As we enter March, we would like to remind everyone that half load restrictions are now in effect.
These seasonal weight restrictions will remain in place until staff deem the conditions suitable for heavier traffic. Staff will continue to monitor the conditions and will post once the weight restrictions have been lifted.
